Creation of new, visually oriented guides to the procedures, policies and regulations used globally by the UNDP. The guides can be used online or downloaded and used both in digital and print form. These visual guides give participants an overview-at-a-glance of complex projects, making it easier for them to collaborate. The guides are part of a large-scale initiative to streamline the UNDP’s documentation.

Completely new kind of explanations of psychiatric medications make their effects clear for young people. Editorial concept and illustrations designed in close collaboration with initiator Peter Moleman, one of the Netherlands’ foremost authorities on psychopharmacology.
Re-design of all websites for the Knowledge Center for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, both Dutch and English versions, including new visual and interaction design and custom-built content management system.
Creation of a new mainly digital version of this program embedding children’s authors in elementary schools to increase children’s literacy and love of language, writing and reading.
A special visual toolset, including a visual summary for the report itself, slide set, and other expressions to help share important ideas in the complex subject of the Council’s first major report: a critique of the idea of a purely ‘systemic responsibility’ in managing health care and social services.
Since 2006, I’ve lectured at schools including two Universities of Applied Sciences (Rotterdam and Amsterdam), and co-taught modules in MBA courses at University of Amsterdam (Design-Driven Business Innovation) and the Hotel School the Hague (Hotel Experience Design). At two of these schools (RUAS and the Hotel School the Hague), I’ve created new courses, including an entirely new foundation course in interaction design, with accompanying book.
Qualitative online research into effectiveness of online content for independent entrepreneurs, followed by user testing with a number of prototype pages. Analysis created insight into the perceptions and needs of this group, enabling improvement in both efficiency and effectiveness for users.
